   Before the Declaration of Independence and the Revolutionary War there was a group of people on the frontier, cutoff by a mountain range from any goverment who, out of necessity, created their own becoming the 1st free and independent government established by Europeans of American birth! This is a brief history into one of the most interesting chapters of 18th century Frontier History.
